Christopher “Chip” Bodine began his firefighting career immediately after high school as a volunteer in early 2006. He secured a full-time position with the Pinellas Suncoast Fire and Rescue District where he advanced through the ranks to the current role of Division Chief of Training and Safety. Chip currently serves as the Region 4 Training and Education Representative for the Florida Fire Chiefs’ Association. He holds the designation of Fire Officer IV and earned his Bachelor of Science in Fire and Emergency Services from the University of Florida.
Throughout his career, Chip has demonstrated a strong commitment to professional development, consistently engaging as a student of the industry. He regularly participates in conferences with a focus on sharing knowledge to enhance the growth and safety of others. Chip has contributed to and instructed at numerous conferences across Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina, covering topics including fire dynamics, thermography, truck operations, and strategic search.
Chief Bodine is frequently heard stating, “It’s a great day for training.”
