Though a Tennessee native, William “Bill” Wright spent most of his young years in Southwest Ohio and has have been a Florida resident for 41 years. Bill received his Bachelor of Divinity in 1981 and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Psychology and Christian Counseling. Bill is the Pastor of Bible Way Baptist Church, where he has served for nearly twenty-nine years.
Bill has served as the Head Chaplain for the Santa Rosa County Firefighters Association (and Pace Fire Rescue District, specifically) for over twenty-two years. He has trained over a dozen chaplains that serve the responders of Santa Rosa County. For the past few years, he has had the privilege of training diverse groups of responders in the areas of PTSD Awareness and Suicide Awareness, Mitigation, and Intervention.
Bill is a member of both the Florida Suicide Prevention Coalition and the EscaRosa Suicide Prevention Coalition. He was privileged to present at the FSPC Conference in February of 2022.
Bill serves as the NW Florida Director of Victory for Youth/Share Your Heart, which is a Florida non-profit that works with the FL Department of Children and Families and many other agencies to serve the most vulnerable in our communities. Bill is a founding member of Share Your Heart-Santa Rosa CERT.
