Class Overview
This course is designed to prepare first responders and their K-9 partners to assist in crisis response work.
Prerequisites:
- National Registered Therapy Dog Certification
- Peer Support Training
This course requires learners to participate in Zoom lectures, online readings, and submit video recorded demonstration of skills at the end of each module.
AACR K-9 Handler Certification
Every Monday on Canvas with Zoom from 7 pm to 9 pm.
Class will be from November 3, 2025 through December 8, 2025.
Final evaluation will be in person. Date and location to be determined.
